IdelerTime is a functional, practical and individually adaptable time tracking program, which exactly meets our requirements as a medium-sized service provider.
We have been searching for a long time for the right time tracking system to record the work on the different projects of our employees in the easiest way. IdelerTime was also the most cost-effective method.
Since 2013, we have been using a time tracking program developed by Ideler to support payroll accounting and our project controlling. The iPad terminal system from IdelerTime was integrated into this time tracking program, which also integrates our subcontractors, as part of a customizing process. Our application possibilities at our mobile and stationary construction sites have multiplied as a result.
Ideler IT - A friendly, highly qualified team that, after a very good consultation, implemented our wishes and requirements quickly and perfectly, and we felt 1A cared for at all times.
IdelerTime is perfect for recording the services of my 25 employees in the various properties we manage. The respective hours of each individual, but also the total hours per property, can be called up clearly. IdelerTime thus makes my work much easier.
The time tracking via iPad is gladly used by the employees and is easily practicable. The processing of working times in the catering industry was implemented in a challenging way. Legal basis for Germany:
- Working Hours Act (ArbZG), § 16 Posting and timesheets
- The recording obligation for employers in Germany has yet to be legally revised in accordance with the ECJ ruling of May 14, 2019. However, the obligation to keep records is already mandatory by law for certain areas
- In its decision of 13 September 2022 (Ref. 1 ABR 22/21), the Federal Labour Court (Bundesarbeitsgericht, BAG) ruled that in Germany the entire working time of employees must be recorded. Employers are obliged under section 3(2)(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Arbeitsschutzgesetz - ArbSchG) - interpreted in conformity with the Union - to introduce a system to record the working time worked by employees. The BAG has thus bindingly decided that the ruling of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) of 14 May 2019 (ECJ Case 55/18 CCOO) must also be observed by German employers. What this means in practice is that an employer can hardly defend itself against, possibly, false overtime claims by its employees if it does not record the working time of its employees in its business.
- Conclusion for employers in Germany: In order to avoid litigation risks due to a lack of evidence, employers should even now record their employees' working hours. Violations of the applicable recording obligation can be subject to a fine of up to € 30,000, as the employer's obligation to record working hours already applies to certain areas due to the statutory minimum wage.
